Five Week Hiatus

I have a five day count down to Vietnam! A long awaited vacation is coming up and I will be making my way towards the southern beaches in Vietnam along with a group of friends. I know I've been looking forward to this trip especially these past couple of weeks. The public schools go on a two week break to kickstart the Khmer New Year but the break is not suppose to start for another week. However, the classes in my school have already come to a complete halt. Last Monday I showed up to my school ready to teach but the students decided to take their vacation a few weeks sooner. It's not just like that in my school. It seems that most of the public schools in Cambodia have ceased to exist.
So now I have a lot of extra time on my hands. I've tried to resume my after school clubs but once these students are on vacation mode that's it.
In the mean time I've been catching up on my reading. I finally finished all the Harry Potter books and movie series and I must say that I'm a little sad that it's all over. Maybe because my addiction is over and now I have to start all over in search of a new one.
So if you have any recommendations I would greatly appreciate it. It will definitely help pass the time especially when I'm making my way towards the beach because once i get there I'll be laying on the sand, attempting to even out my flashy, multicolored tan and starring into the endless ocean.
I've also been spending a lot more time at my house with my host family. On most weekdays my schedule is full with classes and clubs but now I get to rest a bit and hang out. That's why I'm showing photos of where I live. This is what I see everyday. This is my host family.
This is my world.
And oh what a beautiful world we live in.
