On my fast day in Kuching, Sarawak, I was fortunate to see an all day Chinese celebration event. From what I gathered from the locals, the reason behind the parade and celebrations was to give thanks and blessings for one of their temples. I don't believe it was a Chinese holiday but rather a ceremony in appreciation for their heritage and to ask for protection and wealth. This colorful parade was full of love and laughter and I am totally grateful that I got to be apart of it.
