Oh Sundays! How I love you!

My fellow trainees and I took a day trip to the village Keravong. We wanted to go check out their site and enjoy a day out in the mountains with waterfalls and hammocks.

On our ride over I learned that this is how rice is laid out and dried.

My friend Matt catching a ride and helping us get to our final destination.

Getting in that water has probably been the coldest shower I have taken since I've been here. It felt soooooooo great to have the water running down my back!

No matter where you go hammocks are a necessary in Cambodia.

Our little hang out spot for the day.

Since Sundays are our only days off I can't tell you how much I look forward to venturing out and having  some time to relax for a bit especially having a long week filled with language and teacher training. As I've come to realize, these are also the times to take full advantage of spending time with one another because once we get placed into our permanate sites our lives will drastically change. Some of us might be placed in a rural site where the closest volunteer can be anywhere from either 20 minutes to 2 hours away. It's going to be a major adjustment but one that will be filled with challenges and rewards. I'll think more about that when the time comes but for now I'll just keep enjoying the view and the time with my friends.
